Management in Training in U.S. luxury hospitality
Our most advanced program. Train at a top U.S. hotel or fine-dining restaurant, working alongside and shadowing experienced supervisors and building hands-on U.S. hospitality experience on a management-development track, with full J-1 visa sponsorship and 24/7 support. Exact role, setting, and structure vary by property.
For European professionals with a hospitality degree + 1 year experience, or 5 years' experience. Up to 12 months. Paid by the host.
A structured, documented development program
Management in Training places you at a top U.S. hotel or restaurant, working alongside and shadowing experienced supervisors and taking on growing responsibility. Depending on the property, that can mean moving across hotel departments or growing through the sections of a fine-dining operation. You leave with real, hands-on U.S. hospitality experience on your CV, the kind that opens doors worldwide. Your exact setting, title, and level of responsibility vary by property.
It is structured, documented, and regulated. Your training follows a formal plan (the DS-7002) with clear learning objectives and a named supervisor at every phase, so it is genuine development, never casual or unskilled work.
Real hospitality experience, hotel or restaurant
Built into the program by design: for hospitality training of six months or longer, your State-Department training plan includes at least 3 structured phases, across departments in a hotel, or across the functions of a restaurant. That is what makes it real training, not a single repetitive job.
Front of house & guest experience
Reception, concierge, and guest services with growing responsibility.
Food & Beverage service
Outlet service, standards, and floor operations across meal periods.
Kitchen & culinary (where applicable)
Structured time across kitchen sections, depending on the property.
Events & banquets
Event setup, service, and coordination with operations teams.
Revenue, sales & operations
Exposure to how the property is priced, sold, and run day to day.
Supervisory exposure
Later phases often include shadowing supervisors and taking on more responsibility. Scope depends on the property.
Whether you train in a hotel or a restaurant, your exact setting and training areas are confirmed with your host property before you commit, so there are no surprises.

Returning J-1 Participants
Already completed a J-1 Internship or Trainee program? You may still qualify, provided enough time has passed since your last program. We confirm your eligibility with the sponsor before you pay any program fees.
Paid directly by the host
You are paid by the U.S. host employer at $15-27/hr depending on the property and role, fully compliant with U.S. wage law. Tipped roles add tips on top. That is roughly $2,400-$4,000+ a month before tips.
Because this is a skilled training program, you will never be placed in casual or unskilled labor. Many hosts also help arrange housing.
We work both ways
We have direct relationships with host employers and hospitality groups, and we also approach hotels and restaurants individually based on your profile, goals, and preferred location. Once your profile and cover letter are in our portal, we present you directly to senior or HR decision-makers at properties that fit your goals. At some properties the local General Manager or HR team hires directly; at others the property needs corporate-headquarters approval before confirming a J-1 Trainee. Tell us the hotels or groups you are most interested in and we target those first. Stronger profiles and specific location preferences give us more room to do this, and you are never forced to accept an offer that is not the right fit.
Location note: our host network is strongest in Miami and South Florida. For strong profiles we also run targeted outreach in other U.S. markets based on your preference, and we will be straight with you about what is realistic for your target city before you commit.
